What is CrossFit?

In implementation, CrossFit is, quite simply, a sport—the “sport of fitness.” We’ve learned that harnessing the natural camaraderie, competition, and fun of sport or game yields an intensity that cannot be matched by other means.

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that is built on constantly varied, functional movements, done at high intensity. Through CrossFit programming, we focus on all ten general physical skills including Cardio/Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance and Accuracy.  Although workouts are constantly varied, they are not random! Our programming targets specific components of fitness or goals, is periodized, and is built on progression. CrossFit by design is broad, general and inclusive. CrossFit is empirically driven, clinically tested, and community developed. The program is universally scalable meaning that it is the perfect application for any committed individual, regardless of experience or fitness level. We typically use the same routine for every member, scaling only load and intensity. We do provide substitutions that hit the same metabolic pathways in cases where our members have physical limitations
